Water Park Rules

• State law requires that the pool is vacated during the 5 Chemical Checks each day for 15 minutes.

• Wristbands must be securely worn for water park access.

• Only one wristband will be issued per person, per day. Please keep your wristband on if you plan to return to the water park within the same day. A new wristband will not be reissued.

• Altered wristbands will not be accepted or replaced.

• An adult must accompany children under 18 years of age at all times.

• You must be 48″ tall or able to pass a “swim test” administered by our lifeguards to ride on the large water slide.

• Proper swim attire required in pools: jean cut offs, gym shorts, tee shirts, thong bathing suits and transparent colored suits are not allowed.

• Please do not enter the pool if you have a communicable disease or open cut. Bandages must be removed befor entering the water.

• Use of gum and tobacco products is prohibited within the water park.

• Food and beverages may not be brought from outside.

• Health Department suggests that you allow 1/2 hour between eating and swimming.

• Absolutely no food or drink allowed in the pools.

• Please shower before entering the pool and after using toilet facilities.

• The large hot tub is for the use of Children 5 Years of Age and Over.

• The small hot tub is for the use of Adults 18 Years of Age and Over.

• Children under the age of 3 must wear a swim diaper and rubber pants. (Approved swim diapers may be purchased at poolside snack bar or in the hotel gift shop).

• The use of non-Coastguard approved inflatable personal floatation devices is prohibited; Coastguard approved floatation devices are available in the water park for guest use.

• We require your name and room number when checking out a life vest. Hotel room will be charged $40.00 if not returned by the close of the water park. A $20.00 deposit at the front desk is required for a locker key.

• Inflatable items, squirt guns, balls. and snorkels are prohibited.

• No hanging on ropes, or walls allowed.

• Spitting or spouting water from the mouth and blowing nose in the pool is prohibited.

• No diving allowed.

• No running in pool or on deck area.

• No pushing, dunking. excessive splashing, shoulder riding or other inappropriate behavior allowed in the facility.

• No glass allowed in facility.

• Professionally trained lifeguards are in charge at all times and adults in attendance may be requested to assist the lifeguards.

• Lifeguards have final authority on all safety issues. Monitoring your child/children remains your responsibility even if a lifeguard is present.

• Failure to follow water park rules will result in dismissal from the facility.

• Only tennis shoes and soft-soled sandals are permitted on deck.

• We suggest that you remove any loose jewelry (watches, bracelets, necklaces or dangling earrings) before using the water park.

• The Sterling Inn is not responsible for any lost or stolen property.

• Persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs should not use the pool.

• Please notify lifeguard staff of any pre-existing medical conditions.

• You must be 18 years old unless accompanied by a parent or guardian to use the fitness center.

• Please do not take room towels to the water park; pool towels are provided for you.

• State law requires riders to obey all warnings and directions for carnival or amusement rides, and behave in a manner that will not cause or contribute to the injury of themselves or others. Riders must report injuries prior to leaving the premises.

Standards of Conduct

• Children under 18 must be supervised at all times.

• Guests must be 21 years or older to rent a hotel room.

• Alcoholic beverages may not be consumed in the public areas.

• Private parties in individual hotel rooms are not allowed.

• Please be considerate of other guests and keep noise levels to a minimum.

• No open flames or incense allowed.

• Hotel room rates allow for a maximum of 4 guests per room.

•5th person charge is $25.00 and includes water park admission.

• No visitors are allowed.

• No sporting equipment (I.e. hockey sticks. mini hockey sticks, basketballs. etc.) are permitted in the public areas of the hotel.

• A curfew. for anyone under 18. will be enforced at 11 :00 p.m.  We ask that all individuals return to their rooms unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.

• A $250.00 charge will be accessed for smoking in a nonsmoking room.
